- Under this policy, the expenses for hospitalization in AYUSH including Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha are payable.
- Emergency road ambulance transport charges are also covered.
- Both normal and cesarean delivery costs can be claimed.
- New born baby and vaccination expenses are also covered.
- Organ donor charges are also included in the Star Comprehensive Health Plan.
- In case of emergency, air ambulance fees are also covered.

What is the waiting period in comprehensive?
Comprehensive imposes four types of waiting periods –
- 30-Day Waiting Period: Hospitalization will not be covered for the first 30 days of the policy unless it is an accident.
- Specific Illness Waiting Period: There is a waiting period of 2 years for a list of specific illnesses such as cataract, which is mandatory before you can initiate a claim.
- Pre-existing disease waiting period: There may be a waiting period of 3 years for any pre-existing disease you may have when purchasing the policy. You can also reduce the waiting period and bring it down to 1 year by making additional payment on your premium. (alternative cover)
- Maternity and Newborn Waiting Period: There is a waiting period of 2 years before making claims related to pregnancy and delivery.
How to cancel star comprehensive health insurance policy?
The policy can be canceled by giving 15 days written notice to the Star Health Insurance Company and the company will initiate refund for the unexpired policy period. In case the premium was being paid on monthly installment basis, it is not refundable.

- Cashless hospitalization can be availed at any network hospital of the company across India. The insured person will have to present the Star Health ID card.
- On receipt of claim intimation from the policyholder, his attendant or network hospital, the insurance company will start confirming the policy coverage.
